LEARNING SHOULD BE FUN

Welcome to Spanish Fort United Methodist Preschool.  This School is an important outreach ministry of our church as we try to serve the needs of our church family and the community.  The program is organized on a non-profit basis, with fees being used to meet operating expenses.  Any profit basis realized goes into equipment and supplies used during the program.

We will strive to meet the developmental needs of your child in all areas — physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual — in a caring, loving, and Christian atmosphere.  The children will be exposed to numerous activities and games, which will enhance motor skills and coordination.  Through music, art, drama, and Show and Tell children are encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings.  They will learn basic shapes, colors, numbers and letters on the level best suited for their age group and development needs.  Music and art will be basic in each age group.  The children will be introduced to enrichment activities through their unit studies, which will help them to learn more about themselves and the world in which they live.  Good stewardship of our world, as well as our personal belongings will be encouraged.  Holidays, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter will be in a positive manner with emphasis on the religious aspect of these special times.

We’re About The Little People…

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he shall not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

  • Provide opportunities for meaningful worship
  • Gather as a faith-based family
  • Grow in our faith through Bible Study
  • Share significant life events
  • Serve our community

OUR HISTORY

Spanish Fort United Methodist Preschool (SFUMP) has been in existence since 1980 as an outreach program of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church.  SFUMP strives to meet the educational and social needs of early childhood in a Christian atmosphere. Our goal is to expand the world of the child to include friends in the community, the church and home.  Through a curriculum that is developmentally age appropriate, each child will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of readiness activities.

OUR TEACHERS

The preschool teachers at Spanish Fort United Methodist Preschool are passionate about your child’s happiness and growth. They’re dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment that cultivates self-esteem and the love of God.

Spanish Fort United Methodist Preschool is an opportunity to share their passion for life and Jesus while they awaken the wonder inside each and every child.

PROGRAM GOALS

To offer quality care in a developmentally appropriate environment where children are encouraged to learn according to their individual needs and interests.  To foster each child’s sense of self, self-worth & confidence.  To provide an environment for children that will serve to enrich their understanding and appreciation of their family, community & world about them.  To facilitate a partnership with parents through effective and open communications concerning the welfare and development of the child.

OUR CULTURE

Let them be LITTLE, fill their hearts with LAUGHTER, help them GROW WINGS, nurture their sense of WONDER, inspire them to BELIEVE, LOVE them like there’s no tomorrow.
